Biography

Drummer Tom Hunting is a founding member of legendary Thrash metal band “Exodus”.

Being influenced by bands such as Motorhead or Iron Maiden, Exodus started off playing melodic hard rock. After some trouble with record labels, which lead to several changes among the band members, Exodus changed their style to a more aggressive sound. They finally released their debut album “Bonded by Blood” in 1985, which is still considered to be among the most influential Thrash albums of all time.

After more than 30 years of creating music the pioneers of Thrash metal are still active, touring the world and recording new records.

Drummer Tom Hunting is an essential part of Exodus‘sound. His precise timing, consistent speed and enormous volume make him one of metals hottest & most respected drummers.

Tom has played a classic black Recording Custom kit for most of his career before changing to the powerful Oak Custom shells in 2009.

LIVE CUSTOM

Live Custom series is designed with a greater focus on playing in live situations using 1.2mm oak plies that are 10% thicker than those used on our Oak Custom drums. Bass drum shells are comprised of eight-ply designs while tom, floor tom, and snare shells are constructed with six. The Live Custom delivers a sound with greater strength and depth, provides rich expressive power that exceeds your imagination, and features hardware designed with some new, innovative ideas that delivers incredible stability and reliability even in the demanding environment of the stage. Oak's sound is clear and well defined with a powerful low-end that shakes your soul. On stage, and in the studio as well, Live Custom delivers a fat, rich tone with awe-inspiring presence.

Gulli Briem

Izlandon, a reykjavíki születésű Gulli gyerekként a konyha padlóján lábosokon és edényeken kezdett dobolni. Két évig gitározott és énekelt az iskolai zenekarban, melynek dobosa megbetegedett, a dobos pozíció megüresedett, így elkezdett a családi rezidenciájukban dobolással foglalkozni. Középiskolás korában az iskola zenekarban találkozott Johann Asmundssonnal, a Mezzoforte (1977) zenekar másik alapító tagjával. Ezt követően egy reykjavíki hangszerboltban találkoztak Eythor Gunnarssonnal és Fridrik Karlssonnal, ahol Fridrik gitárokat értékesített. 1982-óta nemzetközi turnékon és lemezfelvételeken vesznek részt. Az első nemzetközi sikerre 1983-ig kellett várni, a Surprise albumról a dance funk hit stílusú "Garden Party" dallal. A Mezzoforte zenekarban Gullit öt alkalommal jelölték Izlandban az év dobosa díjra.
