New CL/QL Mixer Firmware And R Remote Software Supports Rio-D3 I/O Racks

March 13, 2025, Shizuoka, Japan – Yamaha has released new firmware for its CL/QL series digital mixers and the latest version of I/O parameter control application, R Remote, which support the new Rio3224-D3 and Rio1608-D3 I/O racks.
The third-generation Rio3224-D3 and Rio1608-D3 deliver advances in sound quality, functionality and enhanced energy economy, while maintaining the superior performance that the R series of I/O units and interfaces is well known for. With lower noise levels and a wider dynamic range, the Rio3224-D3 and Rio1608-D3 also feature a new headphone socket for monitoring input and output sound, as well as a third network port.
Firmware V5.9 for CL/QL series digital mixers allows them to remotely control Rio-D3 units in the same way as previous generations of the I/O units.
Yamaha has also updated R Remote, a software application which allows users to control the input/output parameters of R series I/O racks and is the perfect solution when using them for a recording system without consoles. Also providing easy firmware updates, R Remote V6.0.0 fully supports the Rio3224-D3 and Rio1608-D3.

Firmware V5.9 for CL/QL series digital mixers and R Remote V6.0.0 are available now as a free download.
