Some bows used in our products are made from Pernambuco wood (Paubrasilia echinata), a rare material whose international trade is regulated under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

If you intend to take such items overseas in connection with a transfer of ownership, such as through a sale or other transaction, an export permit is required. For further details, please refer to the information provided by the relevant authorities in your country.

In general, an export permit is not required when taking these items out of Japan for personal use that does not involve a transfer of ownership, such as for performance, personal carrying, or repair. However, customs authorities in other countries may request proof that the items are for personal use. To help avoid potential issues when traveling internationally, we recommend obtaining a Musical Instrument Certificate issued by the relevant authorities in advance.
