Sound
Our sound design team created 60 totally new Performances to highlight all the new sound features.
GS1 Ensemble Chorus
The GS1 was among the first FM synthesizers. Introduced in 1981, the flagship GS1 included an analog Ensemble and Tremolo Chorus unique to the instrument.
MONTAGE M OS v3.0 adds a VCM (Virtual Circuity Modeling) version of this classic effect along with signature sounds created by Katsushika Trio and CASIOPEA keyboardist Minoru Mukaiya.
CS Ring Modulator
An essential component of the legendary CS80 analog synthesizer is the Ring Modulator.
MONTAGE M OS v3.0 adds a VCM CS Ring Modulator effect that faithfully simulates this powerful sound.
All parameters are controller-assignable for deep real-time expression.
New Clavi
Clavi is a staple sound in Soul, R&B, Rock and Pop. Our sound design team sampled this classic instrument and created a selection of Performances showcasing this new content.
Control
8 Effect Parameters for Quick Edit
Increase the number of Effect parameters in Quick Edit from 2 to 8 parameters.
This function is available for all INS-A/B, Rev, Cho and MFX effect types.
Part LFO destination for AN-X and FM-X
The Part LFO now supports AN-X and FM-X parameters, allowing more options for MIDI syncable control of Performance Parts.
Workflow
DAW Remote: ESP Control
A new "ESP Control" tab in [DAW REMOTE] allows deeper parameter control of the Expanded Softsynth Plugin (ESP) from MONTAGE M.
Knobs, faders, and buttons now directly control ESP parameters, seamlessly integrating hardware and software.
Liveset improvement
MONTAGE M OS v3.0 adds improvements to User Live Set organization, making it easier for you to place Performances in any slot you wish.
Usability improvement
･ Addition of "Performance Note Shift" for improved usability in Pitch screen.
･ Improved usability and visibility when using multiple parts in Split.
･ The number of additional Sound Libraries that can be loaded has been increased from 16 to 24.

Plus, we’ve added a “MONTAGE M OS v2.0” Attribute in Category Search to make the new Performances easy to find.
New CFX
This is the latest version of the Yamaha flagship CFX concert grand, launched in 2022.
This handcrafted concert grand piano melds tradition and innovation to deliver a pianist’s true artistic expression.
New CFX adds another color to the extensive collection of grand pianos in MONTAGE M.
Synth Space LA CP80
This CP80 Electric Grand from the LA Synth Space has a big, warm, and full sound with extended “soft” layers and more natural decay. We sampled this piano based on a survey we posed to the YamahaSynth IdeaScale community.
Shimmer Reverb
Shimmer reverb is great for creating ethereal, atmospheric music. It's also request from IdeaScale.
AN-X Wave Folder
Expanding the AN-X engine, the Wave Folder is great for making simple sounds more complex and edgy.

MIDI2.0
MONTAGE M OS v2.0 implements high resolution data for note velocity, polyphonic and channel aftertouch, Super Knob, pitch bend, modulation, assignable knobs/sliders, foot controllers and sustain.
Workflow
UI Improvements
MONTAGE M OS v2.0 adds improved AWM2 Element edit along with additional Category Search and Navigation choices.
Even in the category search, Part select, Keyboard control and Mute/Solo are available.
There are also new drawbar organ graphics when the Slider Direct is set to “reverse.”
Expanded Softsynth Plugin (ESP) v3.0
A new paradigm in sound customization, ESP is not JUST an editor but a fully functioning and fully editable MONTAGE M in your computer.
Parameter edit is upgraded to full edit allowing deep sound customization whether connected to MONTAGE M or not.
Streamlined content exchange between ESP and MONTAGE M makes managing your personalized sound content easy.
Finally, ESP development is now synchronized with MONTAGE M. All subsequent updates will appear in both MONTAGE M and ESP.
